Beach house
Located on the edge of Costa da Caparica, the House in Caparica is conceived as a hybrid between the fishermen’s hut and the camping tent, merging permanence with lightness. The project responds to the shifting condition of the coastline, where land, sand, and sea dissolve into one continuous landscape. The house is designed for short stays, offering a minimal yet atmospheric living experience directly on the beach. Elevated on a simple structural system, it provides shelter, openness, and direct contact with nature. A place for temporary inhabitation, it celebrates impermanence, wind, fire, and the raw presence of the Atlantic.
