Lighthouse Hotel
Set on the dramatic coastline of southern Sicily, the Syracuse Lighthouse Hotel proposal reimagines the abandoned Murro di Porco lighthouse as a contemporary hospitality retreat immersed in the Mediterranean landscape. The project establishes a dialogue between architecture, sea, and stone through a low horizontal intervention that preserves the symbolic presence of the historic lighthouse while integrating new spaces with the terrain. Conceived around principles of sustainable tourism and material continuity, the proposal uses concrete and local stone to create a seamless relationship between interior and exterior spaces. The project was presented at SIA Guest Rimini 2016 and published internationally by platforms including Casabella, Bustler and ProfessioneArchitetto.
